There are 2 requirements to comply with the L.A. EBEWE Ordinance:

#1) Submit an Annual Energy Benchmark, rolled out in three phases:

Buildings 100,000+ sq.ft. due by December 1, 2017 (City-Owned Buildings 7,500+ sq.ft.)

Buildings 50,000+ sq.ft. due by June 1, 2018
-
Buildings 20,000+ sq.ft. due by June 1, 2019 (every June 1st thereafter)

#2) Conduct an Energy Audit + Water Audit + Retro-Commissioning (RCx) every 5 years.

Deadlines begin in 2019 for buildings 20,000+ sq.ft. (City-Owned Buildings 15,000+ sq.ft.)

A Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) ​is required to fulfill the Energy Audit + Water Audit + Retro-Commissioning requirements.
